Snow corridor in Mt.Shirane

    The road in Mt.Shirane will be opened on 20 Apr.The road is Route 292, Shiga-Kusatsu Highland Way. And the operation of bus is restarted between Kusatsu Onsen and Yudanaka Onsen. You will be able to see the snow corridor. The snow wall might be very high, because this year there is a lot of the remaining snow.

            Route 292 is called “ SHIGA-KUSATSU Highland Way”. This way has been closed in winter. But tomorrow it will be opened after an interval of five months. When the route is opened, you can get YUGAMA Crater Lake. It takes about 30 minutes by bus from Kusatsu Onsen Bus Terminal to the summit of Mt. SHIRANE.
